Indian Ridge Country Club Presents Sunshine Coach To Palm Springs Boys & Girls Club

Indian Ridge Country Club and Variety — the Children’s Charity will present a Sunshine Coach to the Palm Springs Boys and Girls Club during a 4 p.m. ceremony on Thursday at Indian Ridge Country Club in Palm Desert.

The Palm Springs Boys and Girls Club will use the specially equipped van to transport underprivileged and special needs children.

The Sunshine Coach was purchased with contributions from members of Indian Ridge, sponsors and outside contributors during the 2011 Teaching Pro Tennis Tournament and Variety Gala Dinner/Auction.

This is the second Sunshine Coach that Indian Ridge members have donated to Variety- the Children’s Charity

“The Club’s efforts have raised over $125,000 to support the many programs made available to children in our desert,” said Tennis Hall of Famer and Palm Desert resident Rosie Casals. “We are currently preparing for the 2012 Teaching Pro Tennis Invitational and Gala where Indian Ridge will continue its commitment to this valuable resource to help children in the Coachella Valley.”

Palm Desert’s 92211 ZIP Sales Volume Increases By 17%

Home sales in Palm Desert’s 92211 ZIP code increased 17% in August over the same month last year. The median price rose 6.3% to $270,000 according to DataQuick. But, overall the valley’s median price declined 8%  in August, which was the 4th straight month with a decline. Buyers like Palm Desert ‘s  central location close to  attractions like El Paseo and other major venues. Still the  median sales price in Palm Desert is down from January 2011 when it stood at $294,000.

Homes along golf courses  and in gated communities also draw from more affluent consumers  who can pay cash or can easily qualify for loans. According to the Desert Association of realtors, 54% of the homes sold in the valley were distressed properties. Sellers continue to hold on to their prices and buyers have the perception that prices have not yet bottomed out.  Many buyers are looking for great bargains in short sales and foreclosures which tends to drag down the over all values of properties. Overall,  it’s bargain hunters that have pushed up the overall sales volume in August by 21 % over the valley as compared to 2010. The best selling season is ahead for Palm Desert when the snowbirds flock back to the Coachella Valley. Many snowbirds renting seasonally also love Palm Desert so much they end up buying homes recognizing it’s a great time to buy.

This is a cloud based software used by many golf clubs. For ruther information logon to http://www.foretees.com/

View Tee Sheets in Advance
Members may view Tee Sheets up to 30 days in advance.

Email Confirmations and Updates
Emails are sent to all players in a group updating them when a tee time has been made or changed.

Eliminates the Race at 7am
Tee Times ”are yours” once they have been chosen and Members are allowed 4 minutes to complete making a reservation.
This helps eliminate the 7am rush.

Smart Phone Access
Members may book Tee Times using a smart phone or other hand-held device.

Login to the IRCC website
using your normal Username and Password.
Click on “Golf” and then select “New Tee Times” on the drop-down.

ForeTees has a built in “Help” menu to answer questions and give direction.

Tee Sheets have been set up for Oct. 10-30 practice using this system.
You may start to practice at 7am on Oct 3rd.
We recommend taking some time to learn the new system before October 28th.
